If you follow me at all online, you know I have been all about the Grand Opening for Bootleggers Country Bar in Athens GA. Their big celebration is tonight, February 23rd, and The Jeff Vaughn Band will be at Bootleggers playing live!

Bootleggers Athens is located at 1700 Commerce Road in Athens (where the old Country Rock used to be).

All new owners, management, and well, everything! They're bringing country back to Athens and have some great talent lined up.

Cedar Swing Sets For Kids

Wow! Have you seen all the awesome cedar swing sets for kids that are available online? I have found some great ones and some really great deals as well!

We have kids - and grandkids - and I really want them to have one at our house so I've been on the lookout for a high-quality yet affordable swing set.

And no, I don't want just any ol' swing set - I want an AWESOME one - the kind the kids don't want to get off of. You only get to be a kid once, right and I remember how much I loved playing on playground swing sets.

This is a picture of the one I want - makes me wish *I* was a kid again! It's even got a playhouse at the top of the swing set, and a deck... and even a picnic table! (you can click the picture to see the best deals online)

Tell me that's not super cool! I am a big believer in what other parents have to say about products, so I was really relieved (and excited) when I read all the reviews (you can read all the reviews and parent feedback here).

I think the thing most loved about this particular Shark vacuum is that it can be used a 'normal' upright vacuum AND as a lightweight canister vacuum.

That's a real plus if you have stairs to vacuum (as I do). There is nothing worse than trying to lug a normal vacuum up and down each stair and you work with the attachments, right?

But what about suction and power... what good is a vacuum if it doesn't "suck"? lol!

The Shark is a BEAST when it comes to suction power. It's so good it almost feels like it's self-propelled. Be sure you get anything important off the floor before you vacuum or else WHOOSH, the Shark will suck it up.

A big problem for me when it comes to vacuuming is pet hair.

We have 2 cats and Lord, their hair is EVERYWHERE.

Drives me nuts!! Worse yet, not any ol' vacuum will take care of all of it and do a good job.

This Shark Vacuum is fantastic with pet hair. In fact, you could probably vacuum with your current vacuum and then immediately vacuum again with this Shark and get a LOT more pet hair up. It's kinda amazing - and a little gross to think my old vacuum did a good job until Mr Shark showed me what was left behind. Yuck!

Dub Garage Control Freakz R/C Cars Review

RC Cars are just plain fun, but are the Dub Garage Control Freakz RC cars any good? Let's talk about it.

In this house, there is a LOT of RC Car action going on. My guys have tested the Dub Garage Control Freakz and well, not impressed at all.

They say it just isn't powerful like their Traxxas RC cars are.

Sure, the price is decent, but if it's not fun, what's the point? That's just money wasted, right?

The Mustang Control Freakz RC car is less than $30 on Amazon and when you factor in their free shipping and all - it's cheaper than I've seen on many deal sites.

They tried the Mustang version Control Freakz (the red one) so maybe other models are better.

We're sticking with Traxxas RC Cars - as you can see if you click here and see the top-rated RC cars, Traxxas is #1.

TP-Link Wireless ADSL2+ Modem Router Review

The TP-Link ADSL2+ router is pretty amazing. Sure, it has some flaws as well. Let's talk about the pros and cons of having this router and consumer feedback in this review.

The first point I want to mention is that this is a REALLY easy to set up and to use router.

Totally wireless as well - and for me, that's super important.

What I really love is that it has something called "auto-reconnect". If you've ever had connection issues, you know what a pain it can be.

You can't beat the price either - just beware when buying at "discount" prices.

One thing to mention that might be a "con" to this router is that it can be kinda slow when it comes to transfers. If that's important to you, seriously think about getting a top-rated wireless router instead.

For me, that slowness was a deal-breaker and I opted to go with another wireless router instead.

I decided to go with a Medialink Wireless Router and I'm so glad I did.

For just a little bit more money, I ended up with a MUCH better router by getting this Medialink Router.

And I'm not alone on my feelings about it either. The Medialink router has a nearly perfect 5-star rating and well over 1,350 reviews. Read all the reviews here.

Bottom line, make sure you check the current top-rated and best-selling routers before jumping on this TP-Link router. You'll be glad you did.

I managed to find tea kettles in orange that Rachel Ray makes, but believe it or not, I couldn't find a single orange tea kettle from Paula Dean. She had all kinds of OTHER colors, but nothing in orange - crazy!
