A Spice That Helps You Lose Weight?

Have you ever heard of saffron extract?  Yep, as in saffron - like the spice - you got it.  Well apparently when you take saffron extract supplements it helps to suppress your appetite which in turn helps you lose weight.

They say there are other health benefits as well, like improved mood and better energy level - also heard it can help with mild insomnia (which could totally help ME...I'm SUCH a night owl!)

Heck, even Dr Oz says it's true so it MUST be true, right?

I've been reading up on it and watching some video reviews and I have to say, it's kinda interesting.  They say that nature provides all we need, so why not take something natural as opposed to getting prescription medicine?

I'm not sure what to think at this point.  Would YOU take it?  Have you?

Busy Busy Day!

I imagine that most people think that those who work from home actually just sit around eating bon-bons all day or something, but man oh man, I have never worked so hard at any job as I do working at home for myself (guess I like my boss...lol!)

But here it is, 2am, and I'm just now finishing up for the day.  Thankfully, this is a weekend that I am going to TRY and take off and NOT work (wishful thinking, I know).  It's Father's Day weekend, and the pool is calling my name and our grill is just crying out to have steaks cooked on it.

Certainly can't let that grill down, now can I?

I guess working from home, while it is hard work, also comes with a job description that allows ME to decide when I work...and when I take off.  And that works for me!

Oh, The Weather Outside Is....

Sure, you could watch the weather forecast on TV or the Weather Channel - sure, you could actually GO outside as well - but having an indoor outdoor thermometer is not only more efficient, it's way more fun!

These little weather gadgets have a probe that goes outside and then there's a base "weather station" that you put in your house.  The base unit tells you everything you need to know about the weather from the current temperature, to the upcoming forecast, to the dew point...the time - the whole she-bang.

Pretty nifty, right?

And they're not expensive at all!  A good digital or wireless model can be bought for less than $50.  They sure make a great gift (I've given plenty for birthdays, Christmas, Father's Day, etc).
